A new robot mulcher called VENOM LOCUST was tested in the Elsib Square, which was attended by representatives of the press and the Novosibirsk City Hall.
The Locust robot is 10 times more efficient (faster) than manual labor and can significantly facilitate the maintenance of urban areas. The problem of weed harvesting is acute in the city, and the existing mechanization is insufficient. Cleaning of park areas requires a lot of time and resources.
Novosibirsk City Hall plans to take 10 such robots for testing. Based on the results of the tests, a decision will be made on the purchase of lawn mower drones.
"Given that we do not have enough road workers, such drones could be a help for maintaining green areas in the city. Currently, the provision of road workers is only 40% of what is needed," said Yevgeny Antonov, Deputy head of the city highway Department.
